Letter books, 1864-1868, and 1904. Each volume has an index of correspondents at the beginning. They contain invoices, receipts, acknowledgements of orders, and other routine business correspondence. The books include correspondence with various U.S. armories and arsenals during the Civil War about military supplies. Occasionally the letters are in response to letters addressed to Cooper, Hewitt & Co., their agents.
